Diet And Weight Loss Natural Herbal Remedies

Herbal remedies for weight loss.

Everyday we are bombarded with pitches for natural weight loss products, on TV, on the radio, and those annoying pop up ads on the web. Most of these take the form of cleverly named, overpriced supplements that mash together a potpourri of weight loss herbs in a proprietary blend (meaning they want to hide the ingredients).

The best way to avoid gimmicks and false promises is to buy pure, organic bulk herbs and make your own weight loss teas, and tinctures from them.

Not only will you be assured of quality and freshness, but you can fine tune your diet formula to suit your own unique metabolism. Take for example yerba mate ,green tea, and oolong tea.

All healthy, good tasting teas that can help you burn calories and lose fat. There is no need to buy the overpriced and over hyped name brands. You can get the exact same herbal teas in bulk, save money, and more often than not get superior quality.

Hibiscus is one of my personal favorites because of its good taste and healthy benefits. Fennel seed tea is another herb that depresses appetite and speeds digestion.

Stevia is a truly natural, zero calorie sweetener that is a lifesaver for me in lowering my calorie intake from sugars. Stevia leaf can be brewed with your tea, and does not impart the bitter taste that extracts of stevia do.

Keep in mind that you didn't gain those extra pounds overnight, and they are not going to magically disappear overnight. Practice yoga, walk with your dog, work out at the gym, keeping active may be the most important thing you do. When you need a little herbal help try one of these diet teas to help keep you on the right path.

What is the HEALTH?

Health is the level of functional or metabolic efficiency of a living being.

In humans, it is the general condition of a person's mind, body and spirit, usually meaning to be free from illness, injury or pain (as in “good health” or “healthy”).

The World Health Organization (WHO) defined health in its broader sense in 1946 as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

The maintenance and promotion of health is achieved through different combination of physical, mental, and social well-being, together sometimes referred to as the “health triangle”. The WHO's 1986 Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion furthered that health is not just a state, but also "a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living. Health is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities."

The term "healthy" is also widely used in the context of many types of non-living organizations and their impacts for the benefit of humans, such as in the sense of healthy communities, healthy cities or healthy environments. In addition to health care interventions and a person's surroundings, a number of other factors are known to influence the health status of individuals, including their background, lifestyle, and economic and social conditions; these are referred to as "determinants of health".
